INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RESEARCH AND INNOVATION STUDIES (IJRIS)

COPYRIGHT POLICY
The International Journal of Research and Innovation Studies (IJRIS) copyright policy clarifies the rights and responsibilities of authors, the journal, and readers. Authors should review the journal’s current instructions and publication agreement before submitting or publishing, as specific terms may change. Authors are responsible for ensuring that they own or have permission to use the material in their manuscripts, including text, figures, photographs, tables, datasets, and other third-party content. Any material reproduced or adapted from another source must be properly cited, and written permission should be obtained when required by the copyright holder. Authors should retain documentation of permissions and provide it to the journal on request.
Authors should check whether copyright is transferred to the journal or retained by the authors, and what publication or distribution licence applies. They should also confirm what rights they retain to share, archive, reproduce, or reuse their work, including in institutional repositories, teaching materials, and future publications. No particular licence or rights transfer should be assumed unless it is expressly specified by the journal.
If IJRIS publishes articles under an open-access licence, the licence terms determine how readers may access, share, and reuse the work. Users must follow those terms, including attribution requirements and any restrictions on commercial use or adaptations. Open access does not automatically mean that an article is free of copyright protection.
Authors should disclose any overlapping publication and ensure that all co-authors agree to the submission and applicable copyright terms. They must not submit material that infringes another person’s rights or grant conflicting rights to multiple publishers. The journal may request changes, permissions, or clarification when copyright concerns arise and may decline or remove material that cannot be lawfully published.
Readers and other users should cite IJRIS articles accurately and respect the applicable licence and copyright notices. Requests to reuse content beyond permitted uses should be directed to the relevant rights holder.
